We’re looking for a reliable LPN to join our team in St. Albans, VT for a 14-week contract starting ASAP. This is a night shift position (11:00 PM–7:30 AM) with a travel rate of $1,466 for 32 hours.

What you’ll bring

  • A current, active LPN license in your state
  • BLS certification
  • A patient-centered attitude and the ability to work well with a multidisciplinary team

What you’ll be doing
You’ll provide direct nursing care under the direction of RNs and physicians, helping keep patients safe, comfortable, and informed. Typical duties include:

  • Administering medications and treatments accurately and following protocols
  • Performing patient assessments (physical exams, histories, medication reviews) and contributing to individualized care plans
  • Monitoring and documenting vital signs and changes in condition
  • Managing wounds and dressings, watching for signs of infection or complications
  • Starting, monitoring, and maintaining IVs and IV medications when required
  • Caring for patients with urinary catheters, including routine maintenance and monitoring
  • Collecting specimens (blood, urine, sputum) for lab testing
  • Teaching patients and families about diagnoses, medications, and self-care to support recovery and wellness
  • Providing comfort measures, mobility assistance, and basic pain management
  • Responding to emergencies and delivering BLS as needed
  • Following strict infection-control practices, including PPE use and hand hygiene
  • Handling, storing, and disposing of medications and supplies safely
  • Promoting preventive care (vaccinations, screenings) and advocating for patients’ needs
  • Collaborating closely with RNs, physicians, therapists, CNAs, and other staff to ensure coordinated care
  • Occasionally supervising CNAs or other assistive personnel, when applicable
  • Performing other duties as assigned by management
