Shift: 07:00 PM – 07:30 AM
Rate: Local: $1,116 / 36 hours

Required Credentials

  • Valid, active LPN license for the state of North Carolina
  • BLS certification

Core Responsibilities

  • Provide direct nursing care under RN/physician direction: medication administration, wound care, vital signs, basic treatments.
  • Perform focused patient assessments (physical exam, history, medication review) and implement individualized care plans.
  • Administer and monitor medications and treatments, ensuring correct dosing and protocol adherence.
  • Manage wounds and dressings; monitor for signs of infection or complications.
  • Measure, document, and report vital signs and changes in patient condition.
  • Maintain accurate, timely patient records and document interventions and responses to treatment.
  • Educate patients and families on conditions, medications, self-care, and discharge instructions.
  • Initiate and monitor IV therapy where permitted by facility policy; ensure IV site integrity and function.
  • Provide catheter care, including insertion and maintenance per policy, and monitor for complications.
  • Collect specimens (blood, urine, sputum) for lab testing and ensure proper labeling and transport.
  • Assist with mobility, positioning, pain management, and basic comfort measures.
  • Respond to emergencies and provide basic life support per protocol.
  • Follow infection control standards and proper use of PPE.
  • Handle, store, and dispose of medications and supplies safely and in compliance with regulations.
  • Collaborate with RNs, physicians, therapists, and support staff to coordinate care.
  • May supervise CNAs or unlicensed assistive personnel as assigned.
  • Participate in ongoing education to maintain competency and compliance.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management.
