LPN/LVN — Contract Long-Term Care (Tuscumbia, AL)

We’re looking for a Licensed Practical Nurse to join a short-term contract in Tuscumbia, AL. This is a local, non-travel role starting ASAP for approximately 6 weeks. The shift is evenings/nights (06:00 PM–06:30 AM) and the pay is $983 for 36 hours.

Requirements:

• Current, active LPN license in your state
• BLS certification

What you’ll do:
You’ll provide hands-on nursing care under the direction of RNs and physicians. That includes giving medications, managing wounds, checking and recording vital signs, and performing focused patient assessments to help create and follow individualized care plans. You’ll administer prescribed treatments carefully, monitor IVs and urinary catheters when required, collect specimens for lab tests, and maintain accurate patient documentation.

You’ll also educate patients and families about conditions, medications, and self-care, support mobility and comfort needs, and respond appropriately in emergencies using established protocols and basic life support. Infection control, safe handling and disposal of medications and supplies, and promoting preventive care (like vaccinations and screenings) are important parts of the role. In some settings you may supervise CNAs or other unlicensed staff, and you’ll collaborate closely with the entire healthcare team to ensure continuity of care.
