LPN/LVN Licensed Practical Nurse — Long Term Care (Seaford, DE)

Join a Seaford, DE healthcare team as a Licensed Practical Nurse for a 7-week contract (non-travel), starting ASAP. Schedule: 07:00 AM–03:30 PM. Local rate: $1,256/40 hours.

Requirements:

• Active, valid LPN license for the practicing state
• BLS certification

Overview of duties:
Provide direct patient care under RN or physician supervision, including medication administration, wound care, IV therapy, catheter care, and monitoring of vital signs. Conduct focused assessments and document findings, treatments, and changes in condition accurately. Collect specimens for lab testing and assist with mobility, positioning, and pain management to promote comfort and safety.

Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team (RNs, physicians, therapists, support staff) to implement individualized care plans. Educate patients and families about diagnoses, medications, and self-care. Respond effectively to emergencies following established protocols and provide basic life support as needed.

Practice strict infection control, proper handling and disposal of medications and supplies, and adherence to regulatory requirements. May supervise CNAs or unlicensed assistive personnel when assigned. Maintain professional competence through continuing education and perform other duties as directed by management.
