  • Rate: Local: $1,152 / 36 hours

Requirements:

  • Active LPN state license
  • BLS certification

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct nursing care under RN or physician direction (medication administration, wound care, vital signs).
  • Perform patient assessments (physical exam, history, medication review) and contribute to individualized care plans.
  • Administer medications and treatments accurately per orders and protocols.
  • Evaluate, clean, dress, and monitor wounds/incisions for infection or complications.
  • Monitor and document vital signs (BP, pulse, temperature, respiration) and changes in condition.
  • Maintain precise patient records of assessments, treatments, and medication administration.
  • Educate patients and families on conditions, medications, self-care, and preventive measures.
  • Administer and monitor IV medications/fluids and ensure IV line integrity.
  • Provide catheter care, including insertion/maintenance and complication monitoring.
  • Collect specimens (blood, urine, sputum) for lab testing.
  • Collaborate with RNs, physicians, therapists, and support staff to coordinate care.
  • Address patient comfort and safety (positioning, mobility assistance, pain management).
  • Respond to medical emergencies and provide basic life support as needed.
  • Follow infection control practices and use PPE appropriately.
  • Handle, store, and dispose of medications and supplies per regulations.
  • Promote preventive care (vaccinations, screenings) and participate in health assessments.
  • Advocate for patient rights and needs.
  • Supervise CNAs or unlicensed assistive personnel when required.
  • Complete other duties as assigned by management.
