Join a dynamic team in Opelousas, LA as a Registered Nurse on a contract/travel assignment providing Med-Surg/Orthopedic care. This night shift position (7p–7a) starts ASAP and offers $1,724 per 36-hour week.

Core requirements

• Active RN license (state-specific or compact, as applicable)
• Minimum of 1 year recent Med-Surg and/or Orthopedic nursing experience preferred
• BLS required; ACLS preferred

Key responsibilities

• Assess, monitor, and document patient conditions and responses to treatment
• Provide post-operative and orthopedic care, including joint replacement recovery
• Administer medications, IV fluids, and prescribed treatments accurately and safely
• Monitor vital signs, pain, wound status, and neurovascular integrity
• Assist with patient mobility, ambulation, and use of assistive devices
• Educate patients and families on care plans, medications, mobility restrictions, and discharge instructions
• Collaborate effectively with physicians, physical therapists, and the interdisciplinary care team
• Recognize and escalate changes in patient condition promptly
• Maintain accurate, timely documentation and adhere to infection control, safety, and regulatory standards
