Required qualifications

• Active RN license (state-specific or compact, as applicable)
• Minimum 1 year recent med-surg and/or ortho nursing experience preferred
• BLS required; ACLS preferred

Core responsibilities

• Assess, monitor, and document patient status and responses to treatment
• Provide post-operative and orthopedic care, including joint replacement recovery management
• Administer medications, IV fluids, and prescribed treatments safely and accurately
• Monitor vital signs, pain, wound status, and neurovascular integrity
• Assist with mobility, ambulation, and safe use of assistive devices
• Educate patients and families on care plans, medications, mobility limitations, and discharge instructions
• Collaborate with physicians, physical therapists, and the interdisciplinary team
• Recognize and escalate changes in patient condition promptly
• Maintain timely, accurate documentation and adhere to infection control, safety, and regulatory standards
