Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) – Long Term Care | Santa Fe, NM (9-Week Contract, Nights)

We’re looking for a compassionate and skilled Licensed Practical Nurse to join a Santa Fe, NM team for a 9-week contract starting ASAP. This is a local, non-travel assignment with an evening/night schedule (06:00 PM–06:30 AM). Pay for the 36-hour assignment is $1,213.

What you’ll bring

• Valid, active LPN license for your state
• Current BLS certification
• Strong clinical skills and the ability to communicate clearly with patients, families, and the care team

What you’ll do

• Provide direct nursing care under RN or physician guidance: administer medications, monitor vitals, perform wound care, and support daily needs
• Conduct patient assessments, review histories and medications, and help develop individualized care plans
• Administer and monitor prescribed treatments, including IV medications and fluid therapy when required
• Manage wound care, catheter care, and specimen collection (blood, urine, sputum) for lab testing
• Accurately document patient condition, treatments, and any changes in the medical record
• Teach patients and families about diagnoses, medications, self-care, and prevention strategies
• Assist with patient comfort, mobility, positioning, and pain management
• Respond appropriately to emergencies and provide basic life support according to protocol
• Follow strict infection control practices and safely handle, store, and dispose of medications and supplies
• Collaborate with RNs, physicians, therapists, CNAs, and other staff to coordinate care
• Advocate for patients’ rights and needs, and support overall wellness and preventive care
• Supervise CNAs or unlicensed assistive personnel when applicable
• Stay current with nursing best practices and complete required trainings
• Perform other duties as assigned by Management
