Travel RN – Med-Surg/Float Nights (Columbia, MO)

Contract/Travel opportunity in Columbia, MO — Nights (7:00 p.m.–7:30 a.m.), Start: ASAP. 36-hour assignment; rate $2,437 per 36 hours.

Overview:
Provide nursing care for adult Medical-Surgical patients with the flexibility to float to other units as needed. Work as part of an interdisciplinary team to deliver safe, evidence-based care, patient education, and accurate documentation in the EMR.

Required qualifications:

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license.
• Current BLS required; ACLS preferred when applicable.
• Recent Medical-Surgical nursing experience.
• Ability and willingness to float to other units.
• Strong clinical judgment, effective communication, and solid time-management skills.

Key responsibilities:

• Deliver direct nursing care to Med-Surg patients, including assessment, monitoring, and documentation of patient status.
• Administer medications, IV therapy, and prescribed treatments safely and in accordance with policy.
• Float to other units as staffing needs dictate and adapt to varying patient populations.
• Collaborate with physicians, therapists, and ancillary staff to coordinate care and discharge planning.
• Provide patient and family education regarding diagnosis, treatment, and discharge instructions.
• Maintain accurate EMR documentation and adhere to safety and quality standards.
