Rate: Local: $1,138/36-hours

Requirements:

  • Active LPN license in state of practice
  • Current BLS certification

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct nursing care under RN/physician supervision: medication administration, wound care, vital signs, basic assessments.
  • Perform focused patient assessments (physical exam, history, medication review) and contribute to individualized care plans.
  • Administer medications and treatments accurately per orders and protocols.
  • Assess, clean, dress, and monitor wounds/incisions for signs of infection or complications.
  • Monitor and document vital signs and changes in patient condition.
  • Maintain accurate, timely patient records including treatments and medication administration.
  • Educate patients and families on conditions, medications, and self-care.
  • Establish, maintain, and monitor IV lines and administer IV medications/fluids as allowed by facility policy.
  • Provide catheter care (insertion, maintenance, monitoring) and collect specimens (blood, urine, sputum) for testing.
  • Assist with patient comfort, positioning, mobility, and pain management.
  • Respond to emergencies and provide basic life support as needed.
  • Follow infection control practices and proper use of PPE.
  • Safely handle, store, and dispose of medications and medical supplies in compliance with regulations.
  • Promote preventive care (vaccinations, screenings) and support health assessments.
  • Advocate for patients’ rights and coordinate with the interdisciplinary team (RNs, physicians, therapists, support staff).
  • May supervise CNAs or unlicensed assistive personnel as assigned.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management.
