Travel LPN/LVN – 13-Week Long-Term Care, Waterville ME (High Pay: $1,649/36-hr)

We are seeking an experienced Licensed Practical Nurse for a 13-week contract in Waterville, ME, starting ASAP. This is a travel assignment offering $1,649 for a 36-hour week. The shift runs 05:45 AM–06:15 PM.

What you’ll bring

• Current, active LPN license for the state
• BLS certification

What you’ll do
You’ll provide hands-on nursing care under RN or physician guidance, focusing on safe, patient-centered treatment. Typical duties include:

• Performing patient assessments (vitals, physical exams, medical history, and medication reviews) and contributing to individualized care plans
• Administering medications and treatments accurately and following protocols
• Managing wounds and dressings, watching for signs of infection or complications
• Monitoring and documenting vital signs and changes in patient condition
• Collecting samples (blood, urine, sputum) for lab testing
• Starting and managing IVs and monitoring IV therapy when required
• Caring for urinary catheters and monitoring for related issues
• Educating patients and families about diagnoses, medications, and self-care
• Supporting patient comfort, mobility, positioning, and pain management
• Responding to emergencies and providing basic life support as needed
• Following infection control practices, including PPE and hand hygiene
• Handling, storing, and disposing of medications and supplies safely
• Promoting preventive care (vaccinations, screenings) and advocating for patients’ needs
• Collaborating with RNs, physicians, therapists, CNAs, and other team members to ensure coordinated care
• Supervising CNAs or unlicensed assistive personnel when applicable
• Maintaining accurate documentation and staying current with nursing best practices and training
• Other duties as assigned by management
