Join a Richmond/Midlothian, VA health system as a Maternal-Fetal Medicine locum tenens to provide inpatient and outpatient clinical care and take call coverage. This is supplemental coverage starting ASAP with ongoing engagement. Typical schedule is Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–4:15 PM, with night and weekend call responsibilities.

Practice setting and volume

• High-risk practice: ~95% high-risk, 5% low-risk
• Average daily patient volume: 27
• Solo physician practice with collaborative support staff: 1 NP, RN clinic educator, sonographer, genetic counselor, and front office team
• Three exam rooms with onsite ultrasound (GE 10)
• Nursery Level III
• EMR: Epic and Viewpoint

Clinical scope

• Diagnostic and procedural management of complex pregnancies including amniocentesis, chorionic villus sampling, cerclage (preferred), and management of pre-eclampsia, multiple pregnancy, growth restriction, chromosomal abnormalities, congenital anomalies, preterm labor, hypertension, thrombophilia, genetic disorders, and other maternal/fetal comorbidities
• Care across prenatal, delivery (vaginal and cesarean), and peripartum settings

Qualifications

• Active Virginia medical license
• BC/BE in Maternal-Fetal Medicine with fellowship completion
• BLS and AIUM certification required
