Join a busy inpatient Neurohospitalist service in San Antonio, TX, providing supplemental locum tenens coverage beginning April 10, 2026 and continuing on an ongoing basis. You’ll work a mix of clinical shifts and call (beeper response), rotating 7–8 days with another neurohospitalist and averaging about 15 shifts per month. Nights and 24-hour calls are shared across the month, with a 30-minute call response expectation.
Typical daily volume is about 15 patients: roughly 4–5 general neurology consults and 4–5 telestroke consults. You’ll have support from one NP/PA and access to Cerner for charting. The hospital is a DNV-certified Comprehensive Stroke Center with EEG and continuous EEG available, and temporary privileges can be arranged. Travel, lodging, and malpractice insurance are provided.
Clinical expectations include EEG and continuous EEG reading/interpretation and comfort managing acute stroke (telestroke and general neurology non-tPA services). Requirements: active Texas medical license, board certification, BLS, and an NPDB report if your record is not clean.
