Travel RN – NICU/Newborn Nursery (Night Shift) — Opelousas, LA (Contract)

Join a NICU/Newborn Nursery team in Opelousas, LA — this is a night-shift contract opportunity (7p–7a) available ASAP. The assignment is 36-hour weeks with a pay rate of $1,724 per 36 hours.

What you’ll be doing

• Deliver specialized nursing care for newborns and neonatal patients in a high-acuity setting.
• Monitor vital signs, track growth and developmental progress, and document changes accurately.
• Administer medications, IV therapies, and prescribed nutritional support.
• Work closely with neonatologists and the interdisciplinary team to develop and carry out individualized care plans.
• Teach and support families on infant care, safety, and discharge planning.

What we’re looking for

• Active RN license in the appropriate state.
• Clinical experience in the NICU and/or newborn nursery.
• BLS and NRP certifications required; PALS preferred.
• Strong neonatal assessment skills, clinical judgment, and the ability to think quickly in fast-paced situations.
• Comfort working nights and managing high-acuity patients.
