Locum Pediatric Cardiac Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) — Washington, D.C.

Overview
Locum tenens opportunity at a pediatric hospital in Washington, DC providing clinical coverage and weekend call. Coverage begins ASAP and is expected to continue up to 36 months. Typical clinical schedule is 7:00 AM–5:30 PM, four days per week; on-call weekends required. Call specifics (type, ratio, response time, callback rate) to be determined.

Patient Population & Case Mix
Care for neonates and pediatric patients, including congenital and complex pediatric cardiac cases. Case volume and daily census to be determined.

Facility & Systems
Children’s hospital with pediatric trauma capabilities (Levels I–IV). Cerner EMR. Pediatric cardiac anesthesia and subspecialty backup available. Coverage requested for supplemental support.

Privileges & Credentialing
Hospital privileges required; temporary privileges TBD. Credentialing is estimated to take approximately 90 days.

Compensation & Logistics
Rate to be determined. Travel, lodging, and malpractice insurance required/provided as agreed.

Clinical Scope & Required Procedures

• Pediatric anesthesia
• Cardiac anesthesia support
• Management of complex congenital and neonatal cardiac patients

Qualifications

• Active District of Columbia license required (willing to obtain)
• NBCRNA board certification
• PALS certification
• Pediatric experience required; 3+ years preferred
• Must be willing to manage cardiac patients

Core Responsibilities

• Deliver anesthesia care for pediatric and cardiac surgical cases
• Support congenital and complex pediatric cardiac procedures
• Collaborate closely with pediatric cardiac surgeons and care teams
• Adapt to variable daily end times based on case load
• Maintain accurate documentation in Cerner EMR
