Schedule
- Typical workdays: 3–4 days per week (day shifts)
- Call: Shared rotation, approximate ratio 1:4; additional call compensated separately
- Coverage: ASAP – ongoing
Clinical Responsibilities
- Provide full-spectrum obstetric and gynecologic care (prenatal, labor/delivery, postpartum, gynecology)
- Manage gynecologic consults and perform common office-based procedures
- Maintain steady surgical volume; access to three new ORs
- Provide physician backup for midwife-led obstetrics, including uncomplicated deliveries
- Support birth center services (VBACs, water birth, nitrous oxide, 24-hour epidural availability)
Patient Volume & Support
- Typical patient volume: 12–14 patients/day
- Support staff: Nurse Practitioners and Medical Assistants
- Specialty backup: Team of physicians and Certified Nurse Midwife (CNM)
Requirements
- MD or DO; completion of ACGME-accredited OB/GYN residency
- Board Certified or Board Eligible in OB/GYN
- Active Vermont medical license
- Clean professional record and most recent NPDB report
Compensation & Benefits
- Salary range: $280,000–$360,000 annually
- Additional call pay for extra shifts beyond scheduled rotation
