Requirements

• Active RN license in the practicing state.
• Perioperative or surgical nursing experience preferred.
• BLS required; CNOR or other perioperative certifications preferred.
• Strong clinical judgment, organization, and communication skills.

Core Responsibilities

• Prepare patient and operating room for surgical procedures, including equipment and sterile field setup.
• Circulate during procedures: monitor patient status, anticipate team needs, and assist the surgical team.
• Administer medications and maintain sterile technique throughout cases.
• Accurately document nursing care, intraoperative events, and patient outcomes.
• Provide pre- and post-operative patient and family education.
• Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and OR staff to ensure safe, efficient care.
