Obstetrician/Gynecologist (OB/GYN) — Full-Time, 1-in-4 Call — Blackfoot, ID (Critical Access Hospital)

Join a collaborative team in Blackfoot, Idaho, providing full-spectrum women’s care in a nonprofit critical access hospital. This full-time, permanent role blends outpatient GYN clinic, labor & delivery, and surgical services with a predictable weekly rhythm that balances clinic weeks and OB coverage. Call is a structured 1-in-4 model.

What you’ll care for

• Women and adolescent females across the reproductive and gynecologic lifespan
• About 30 deliveries per month with steady clinic volume for routine and complex GYN and women’s health visits
• Prenatal management, deliveries (including C-sections), postpartum care, ER consults during call weeks, and GYN clinics/procedures during clinic weeks
• Admissions and rounding for L&D patients during your OB call weeks

Team and facility

• Work alongside anesthesia, pediatrics, internal medicine, surgery, and experienced nursing teams
• Dedicated OB clinic staff, seasoned L&D nurses, and proactive administrative support
• Report to the Medical Director or Chief Medical Officer
• Credentialing typically takes roughly 60–90 days

Qualifications

• BC/BE in Obstetrics & Gynecology
• Active Idaho medical license or eligibility to obtain one
• BLS and ACLS required
• OB/GYN experience preferred; new graduates welcome to apply
• Strong communicator, team-oriented, patient-centered approach, and EMR proficiency

Day-to-day expectations

• Provide comprehensive obstetric and gynecologic care, including surgical procedures
• Participate in the 1-in-4 L&D call rotation, including ER consults and operative care as needed
• Maintain accurate, compliant clinical documentation and contribute to quality initiatives and program development
• Collaborate with the OB/GYN team to ensure consistent coverage and shared clinical protocols
