Requirements

• Active RN license in practicing state
• Perioperative/surgical nursing experience preferred
• BLS required; CNOR or other perioperative certification preferred
• Strong clinical assessment, organizational, and communication skills

Responsibilities

• Prepare patients and OR for surgical procedures, ensuring safety and sterile field
• Circulate during cases: monitor patient status, assist surgical team, anticipate needs
• Administer medications and maintain documentation of medication administration
• Maintain sterile technique and equipment safety throughout procedure
• Accurately document care, intraoperative events, and patient outcomes
• Provide pre- and post-operative patient and family education
• Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and OR staff to coordinate care
