Join a dynamic healthcare team in Arlington, MA as a contracted Occupational Therapist for a 14-week assignment starting ASAP. Full-time schedule: 08:00 AM–04:30 PM. Compensation: Travel: $1,876/35 hrs; Local: $1,848/35 hrs.

Requirements:

  • Current, active Occupational Therapy state license
  • CPR and BLS certification from the American Heart Association or Red Cross (including AED)

Key responsibilities:

  • Assess patients’ physical, cognitive, and environmental needs to identify limitations and establish functional goals
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans in collaboration with patients and the interdisciplinary team
  • Use evidence-based therapeutic techniques to improve daily living skills and independence
  • Recommend and train patients in the use of adaptive equipment and assistive devices
  • Provide hands-on instruction and practice in activities of daily living (ADLs) and instrumental ADLs
  • Educate patients and caregivers on condition management and strategies to promote autonomy
  • Monitor, document, and modify treatment plans based on patient progress and outcomes
  • Maintain accurate, timely clinical documentation including evaluations and progress notes
  • Support patients’ safe return to community and workplace activities
  • Engage in ongoing professional development and stay current with OT best practices
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management
