RN PeriOp Outpatient (State College, PA) — Days Mon-Fri, $2,144/40-hr Contract

We’re seeking a perioperative RN to join an outpatient surgical team in State College, PA. This contract position starts ASAP and follows a Monday–Friday day schedule (6:15 a.m.–2:45 p.m.). Compensation is $2,144 for a 40-hour week.

What you’ll do

• Deliver nursing care across the surgical continuum in an outpatient setting: pre-op, intra-op, and post-op.
• Assess and monitor patients, documenting status before, during, and after procedures.
• Assist surgeons and procedural teams during cases and help maintain a sterile, safe environment.
• Administer medications and prescribed treatments.
• Teach patients and families about procedure preparation, recovery expectations, and post-op care.
• Communicate and collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to ensure coordinated care.
• Keep accurate records in the EMR.

What we’re looking for

• Active RN license.
• Current BLS required; ACLS preferred.
• Perioperative or outpatient surgical experience preferred.
• Strong clinical assessment skills, effective patient education abilities, and clear communication.
