Travel RN – Pre-op/PACU (Fort Defiance, AZ)

Join a contract travel team in Fort Defiance, AZ, supporting preoperative and PACU care. This full-time assignment begins ASAP with a Monday–Friday schedule, 7:30 a.m.–4:00 p.m. Compensation: $2,434 per 36-hour week.

What you’ll do

• Assess and prepare patients for surgery by reviewing histories, performing pre-op assessments, and obtaining vital signs.
• Monitor and manage patients in the PACU, addressing pain control and recovery from anesthesia.
• Administer medications and treatments per provider orders and document all care accurately in the medical record.
• Educate patients and families on pre- and postoperative instructions and discharge planning.
• Adhere to infection control, safety protocols, and facility policies while collaborating with the surgical team in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Active RN license in the practicing state.
• BLS and ACLS certifications required.
• Prior perioperative or PACU nursing experience preferred.
• Strong clinical judgment, critical thinking, clear communication, and teamwork skills.
