Contract Occupational Therapist (OT) — Newport, VT (13-week Travel Assignment)

We’re seeking an Occupational Therapist to join a team in Newport, VT on a 13-week contract starting ASAP. You’ll work a full-week schedule (Sun–Sat) from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, supporting patients to regain independence and return to their daily routines.

What you’ll do

• Assess patients’ physical and cognitive abilities and evaluate their environments to identify limitations and set practical goals.
• Develop individualized treatment plans in collaboration with patients and the interdisciplinary care team.
• Use a variety of therapeutic techniques to improve daily living skills and functional independence.
• Recommend and train patients on adaptive equipment and assistive devices.
• Teach and practice activities of daily living (ADLs) to build patient competence and confidence.
• Educate patients and families on condition management and strategies to maximize independence.
• Monitor, document, and adjust treatment plans based on ongoing progress.
• Communicate and coordinate with nurses, physicians, therapists, and other team members to ensure cohesive care.
• Maintain accurate and timely records, including evaluations and progress notes.
• Support patients’ safe return to community and work roles.
• Stay current with occupational therapy best practices and participate in professional development.
• Perform other duties as assigned by management.

Requirements

• Valid, active Occupational Therapy state license.
• Current CPR and BLS certification from the American Heart Association or Red Cross (including AED).

• Rate: Travel: $2,308 per 36-hour week; Local: $2,275 per 36-hour week
