Travel Occupational Therapist (OT) – 13‑Week Contract in Fremont, CA | $2,308/36‑hr, ASAP Start

We’re looking for an experienced Occupational Therapist to join a 13-week contract in Fremont, CA, starting ASAP. This position is a Contract/Travel assignment with a full weekly schedule (Sun–Sat, 8:00 AM–4:30 PM). Compensation is $2,308 per 36-hour week for travel assignments and $2,275 per 36-hour week for local hires.

What you’ll need

• Active, valid Occupational Therapy state license
• Current CPR and BLS certification from the American Heart Association or Red Cross (must include AED)

What you’ll be doing
You’ll evaluate patients’ physical and cognitive abilities and the environments they live in, then set meaningful goals based on those findings. You’ll develop individualized treatment plans in collaboration with patients and the care team, use a variety of therapeutic approaches to improve daily living skills and independence, and recommend adaptive equipment and assistive devices as needed.

Day-to-day responsibilities include:

• Teaching and practicing activities of daily living to build patient skills and confidence
• Educating patients and family members about managing conditions and maximizing independence
• Ongoing assessment and documentation of patient progress, with plan adjustments as required
• Maintaining accurate records, including evaluations, treatment notes, and discharge summaries
• Coordinating care with a multidisciplinary team to ensure comprehensive, patient-centered treatment
• Helping patients transition back to community and work roles
• Staying current on best practices in occupational therapy and participating in professional development
• Other duties as assigned by management
