Locum Tenens Pathologist — Multisite Inpatient/Outpatient Coverage (Georgetown, SC)

Service Setting: Inpatient and outpatient across multiple sites
Coverage Period: Begins December 1, 2025 — ongoing
Typical Shift: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM

Coverage Dates (scheduled blocks):

• Jan 12–16, 2026
• Jan 19–23, 2026
• Feb 16–20, 2026
• Feb 23–27, 2026

Clinical Scope:

• Patient population: all ages
• Case mix: Anatomic and clinical pathology across multiple hospitals and affiliates
• Duties: diagnostic case review, onsite and remote reads, phone consults as required

Facility & Systems:

• EMR: Epic
• Equipment: standard pathology/laboratory instrumentation
• Support: laboratory and hospital staff, multisite pathology team backup

Privileges, Credentialing & Coverage Requirements:

• Hospital privileges required
• Expedited credentialing required
• Dual credentialing required (MUSC and Novant Health)
• Cross-facility coverage required, including Aiken, Novant Hilton Head, Novant Coastal Carolina, Kershaw, and remote reads for Columbia and Orangeburg
• Reason for coverage: urgent full-time coverage need

Required Qualifications:

• Active South Carolina medical license
• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Pathology (board certification required)
• Must list all pathology subspecialties with application
• Multisite coverage experience preferred

Responsibilities:

• Provide diagnostic anatomic and clinical pathology services across assigned sites
• Read and interpret cases onsite and remotely
• Collaborate with laboratory staff and clinical teams
• Complete required hospital modules and Epic personalization
• Document findings accurately in Epic

Compensation & Logistics:

• Hotel reimbursement up to $150/night
• Rental car and fuel or personal vehicle mileage reimbursed
