We’re seeking a fellowship-trained pediatric infectious disease physician to provide ongoing locum tenens inpatient coverage in Cleveland, OH. You’ll join a Level I pediatric center with multispecialty backup and experienced nursing and ancillary support, providing consults and rounding on complex pediatric infections — including care for immunocompromised and transplant patients.
What the schedule looks like
- Clinical nights: Monday–Friday, 7:00 PM–7:00 AM
- Inpatient consult call: beeper coverage; schedule/times TBD
- Coverage begins March 16, 2026 and is ongoing
- Minimum commitment: one week per month
Clinical scope and responsibilities
- Perform pediatric infectious disease consultations and inpatient rounding
- Manage complex and transplant-related infections in children, including immunocompromised patients
- Provide phone consults as needed
- Participate in antibiotic stewardship efforts and collaborate with infection prevention teams
- Engage in teaching and case review in an academic children’s hospital setting
Facility and patient mix
- Pediatric patient population with consult admissions
- Case mix includes complex infections and transplant-related infectious disease cases
- Level I trauma center with multispecialty pediatric support
Requirements and credentials
- Fellowship-trained in Pediatric Infectious Disease; board certified or board eligible
- Active Ohio medical license or ability to obtain via IMLC (IMLC accepted)
- Active DEA required
- BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required
- NPDB self-query required
- Academic hospital experience preferred
Privileges, compliance, and support
- Hospital privileges required
- Travel, lodging, and malpractice insurance are provided
- Nursing and ancillary clinical staff available to support patient care
