Travel RN Charge Nurse – PACU/Perianesthesia (Chico, CA)

We’re looking for an experienced RN to step into a charge role in a busy Perianesthesia Care Unit (PACU) in Chico, CA. This is a contract/travel opportunity starting ASAP, offering $3,184 for a 40-hour week.

What we need from you

• Active RN license for the state.
• PACU or perianesthesia nursing experience.
• BLS and ACLS required; PALS is a plus.
• Prior charge or leadership experience preferred.
• Excellent clinical decision-making and communication skills.

What you’ll do

• Serve as the charge nurse for the PACU, overseeing day-to-day operations.
• Coordinate patient flow, staff assignments, and unit coverage.
• Provide and supervise post-anesthesia nursing care and patient recovery.
• Monitor patients closely and respond to post-anesthesia complications as they arise.
• Act as a clinical resource and mentor for nursing staff, supporting best practices and smooth unit functioning.
