Join a school-based team in Johnston County, NC, where you'll support students through assessment, intervention, and collaboration to help them meet their IEP goals. This one-year, on-site contract follows the school calendar and is ideal for an SLP who enjoys working directly with students and partnering with teachers and families.

What you’ll do

• Provide speech-language services based on evaluations and IEPs, including both direct and consultative support.
• Conduct screenings and formal assessments, and write clear evaluation reports.
• Develop, update, and monitor IEP goals and progress; participate in IEP meetings.
• Complete required documentation and Medicaid billing in line with district/state rules.
• Consult with and provide training to school staff as needed.
• Attend required meetings and professional development to stay current with best practices.
• Ensure compliance with state, district, and DPI guidelines for school-based SLP services.

What we’re looking for

• Active North Carolina SLP license, or eligibility for licensure verifiable in the NC licensing database.
• School-based experience preferred but not required.
• Strong communication, collaboration, and documentation skills.
• Familiarity with IEP development and IDEA compliance.
• Ability to work effectively with diverse student populations and school staff.
• Reliable transportation and a valid driver’s license.
• Commitment to maintain licensure through the NC Board of Examiners and provide proof of eligibility if requested.
