Join a 13-week contract in Bloomfield, NM, starting ASAP. Full schedule: Sun–Sat, 8:00 AM–4:30 PM. Travel pay: $2,244/35 hrs; Local pay: $2,212/35 hrs. Position: Speech-Language Pathologist (Contract/Travel).

Requirements:

  • Active, valid state license as a Speech-Language Pathologist.

Core responsibilities:

  • Perform comprehensive assessments of speech, language, communication, and swallowing disorders using clinical evaluation and diagnostic testing.
  • Diagnose communication and swallowing disorders and determine severity.
  • Develop individualized, goal-driven treatment plans tailored to each patient’s needs.
  • Provide evidence-based therapy to improve articulation, fluency, voice, receptive and expressive language.
  • Evaluate and treat dysphagia; implement and teach safe swallowing strategies.
  • Recommend and support use of augmentative and alternative communication (AAC) when appropriate.
  • Educate patients, families, and caregivers on exercises, strategies, and carryover techniques.
  • Monitor, document, and revise patient progress and treatment plans; maintain accurate, timely clinical records.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members (physicians, therapists, educators) to ensure coordinated care.
  • Facilitate generalization of communication skills across daily, educational, and vocational settings.
  • Participate in continuing professional development and perform other duties as assigned by management.
