Contract Travel Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) — Los Angeles, CA

We’re looking for a compassionate and skilled Speech-Language Pathologist to join a Los Angeles team on a 13-week contract starting ASAP. This role follows an 8:00 AM–4:30 PM schedule and is open to both travel and local candidates. Pay is competitive: Travel $2,121/35-hours; Local $2,090/35-hours.

What you’ll need

• A valid, active Speech-Language Pathologist state license.

What you’ll be doing

• Conduct thorough assessments of speech, language, communication, and swallowing disorders.
• Use clinical evaluations and diagnostic tests to diagnose the type and severity of communication challenges.
• Build individualized treatment plans that match each patient’s needs and goals.
• Provide therapy to improve articulation, fluency, voice, comprehension, and expressive language.
• Evaluate and treat dysphagia, promoting safe swallowing techniques.
• Recommend and support use of augmentative and alternative communication (AAC) systems when appropriate.
• Teach patients and families practical strategies and exercises to carry over gains into daily life.
• Monitor and document progress regularly, adjusting treatment plans as needed.
• Work collaboratively with physicians, therapists, educators, and other team members to ensure coordinated care.
• Keep accurate, up-to-date patient records including assessments, plans, and progress notes.
• Help patients generalize improved communication skills to school, work, and home environments.
• Stay current with best practices in the field through continuing education and professional development.
• Perform other duties as assigned by management.
