Join a 14-week contract in Santa Barbara, CA (ASAP start) as a Speech-Language Pathologist supporting clinical assessment and intervention. Full schedule: 08:00 AM–04:30 PM. Compensation: Travel rate $1,818/30 hrs; Local rate $1,791/30 hrs.
Requirements:
- Current, active Speech‑Language Pathologist state license.
Key responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive assessments of speech, language, communication, and swallowing disorders using clinical evaluation and diagnostic testing.
- Diagnose communication and swallowing conditions and determine severity.
- Develop individualized, goal-driven treatment plans and implement evidence-based therapy to improve articulation, fluency, voice, receptive and expressive language.
- Evaluate and manage dysphagia; train patients in safe swallowing strategies.
- Recommend and support augmentative and alternative communication (AAC) when appropriate.
- Educate patients and families on strategies and home programs to reinforce progress.
- Document assessments, treatment plans, progress notes, and outcomes accurately and timely.
- Monitor and adjust therapy based on patient response and progress.
- Collaborate with physicians, therapists, educators, and other team members to ensure coordinated care.
- Promote generalization of communication skills across home, school, and work settings.
- Maintain professional development and stay current with best practices.
- Perform other duties as assigned by management.
