Contract Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) — Santa Barbara, CA (14-week Travel Assignment)

Join a 14-week contract in Santa Barbara, CA (ASAP start) as a Speech-Language Pathologist supporting clinical assessment and intervention. Full schedule: 08:00 AM–04:30 PM. Compensation: Travel rate $1,818/30 hrs; Local rate $1,791/30 hrs.

Requirements:

• Current, active Speech‑Language Pathologist state license.

Key responsibilities:

• Conduct comprehensive assessments of speech, language, communication, and swallowing disorders using clinical evaluation and diagnostic testing.
• Diagnose communication and swallowing conditions and determine severity.
• Develop individualized, goal-driven treatment plans and implement evidence-based therapy to improve articulation, fluency, voice, receptive and expressive language.
• Evaluate and manage dysphagia; train patients in safe swallowing strategies.
• Recommend and support augmentative and alternative communication (AAC) when appropriate.
• Educate patients and families on strategies and home programs to reinforce progress.
• Document assessments, treatment plans, progress notes, and outcomes accurately and timely.
• Monitor and adjust therapy based on patient response and progress.
• Collaborate with physicians, therapists, educators, and other team members to ensure coordinated care.
• Promote generalization of communication skills across home, school, and work settings.
• Maintain professional development and stay current with best practices.
• Perform other duties as assigned by management.
