Requirements

  • Valid, active Speech-Language Pathologist state license.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct comprehensive assessments of speech, language, communication, and swallowing disorders.
  • Diagnose type and severity using clinical evaluation and diagnostic testing.
  • Develop individualized treatment plans with measurable goals.
  • Provide therapy to address articulation, fluency, voice, receptive and expressive language.
  • Evaluate and treat dysphagia; teach safe swallowing strategies.
  • Recommend and instruct on augmentative and alternative communication (AAC) when appropriate.
  • Educate patients and families on therapy techniques, home programs, and carryover strategies.
  • Monitor, document, and update patient progress and adjust plans accordingly.
  • Maintain accurate, timely patient records (assessments, plans, progress notes).
  • Collaborate with physicians, therapists, educators, and other team members for coordinated care.
  • Support patients in applying communication improvements in daily life, school, or work.
  • Participate in professional development to stay current with SLP best practices.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by management.
