Contract Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) — Sunnyvale, CA (13-week Travel/Local)

Contract Speech-Language Pathologist position in Sunnyvale, CA — 13-week assignment starting ASAP. Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–4:30 PM. Compensation: Travel rate $1,803/35 hrs; Local rate $1,775/35 hrs. Must hold a valid, active state license for Speech-Language Pathology.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct comprehensive assessments of speech, language, communication, and swallowing disorders using clinical evaluations and diagnostic testing.
• Diagnose communication and swallowing impairments and determine severity.
• Develop individualized, goal-driven treatment plans and deliver evidence-based therapy to address articulation, fluency, voice, receptive and expressive language, and dysphagia.
• Recommend and support use of augmentative and alternative communication (AAC) as appropriate.
• Educate patients and families on strategies, exercises, and safe swallowing techniques; facilitate carryover of skills to home, school, or work environments.
• Monitor, document, and adjust treatment based on patient progress; maintain accurate, timely records including assessments, plans, and progress notes.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members (physicians, therapists, educators) to ensure coordinated, patient-centered care.
• Pursue ongoing professional development and perform other duties as assigned by management.
