Rate: Travel: $2,424/40 hrs; Local: $2,388/40 hrs

Requirements:

• Valid, active Speech-Language Pathologist state license

Core Responsibilities:

• Conduct comprehensive evaluations of speech, language, communication, and swallowing function using clinical assessment and diagnostic testing.
• Diagnose communication and swallowing disorders; determine type and severity.
• Develop individualized treatment plans with measurable goals.
• Provide evidence-based therapy addressing articulation, fluency, voice, receptive/expressive language, and swallowing.
• Implement strategies and training for safe swallowing; manage dysphagia care.
• Assess need for and recommend augmentative and alternative communication (AAC) systems; provide AAC training as needed.
• Educate patients, families, and caregivers on therapeutic strategies and home programs.
• Monitor, document, and report patient progress; revise treatment plans accordingly.
• Maintain accurate, timely patient records, including assessments, plans, and progress notes.
• Coordinate care with physicians, therapists, educators, and other team members.
• Support patients in generalizing communication skills to daily, school, or work activities.
• Participate in professional development to stay current in the field.
• Perform other duties as assigned by management.
