We’re looking for a psychologist to join a team providing mental health services to adult offenders at a correctional facility in Wilmington, North Carolina. This role combines direct clinical work—assessments, individual and group therapy—with consultative collaboration with facility staff and outside providers. The position is contract/locum with ongoing assignments; full-time preferred, part-time considered.

What you’ll do

• Conduct comprehensive psychological evaluations, including cognitive and personality testing, and interpret results.
• Diagnose mental health disorders using established tools and clinical judgment.
• Provide individual and group therapy to adults in a correctional setting.
• Offer consultative support to facility staff and coordinate with external providers on treatment plans.
• Document all clinical encounters in HERO (EMR) and prepare clear, actionable treatment recommendations.

Qualifications

• Active NC psychologist license.
• Master’s degree in psychology with emphasis on clinical psychology.
• Proficiency in psychological testing and interpretation.
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications.
• Experience in correctional, forensic, or other high-security behavioral health settings preferred.
