Schedule and Call
- 12-hour shifts: days, nights, evenings, weekends required
- Full-time availability required
- Call: beeper (home call); up to 12 call days per month if applicable
Patient Population and Volume
- Adults and geriatrics
- Inpatient vascular surgery patients
- Daily rounds: up to 35 patients; total census ~1,520 annually
- Phone consults expected
Clinical Duties
- Daily rounding and inpatient management under supervising surgeon
- Intraoperative first assist
- Removal of dialysis catheters
- Suture removal
- Other routine vascular surgery inpatient procedures and care coordination
Documentation and Systems
- EMR: Epic
Compensation/Logistics
- Travel, lodging, and malpractice insurance provided
Requirements
- Active New York State license
- Board certified/board eligible (NCCPA or ANCC/AANP)
- NP candidates must have RNFA credential
