Locums Radiology Physician

We are seeking a Locums Radiology Physician to provide coverage at a well-established healthcare system in Springfield, Massachusetts. This opportunity offers a predictable weekday schedule with no call or weekend responsibilities, supporting an excellent work-life balance.

 

Compensation:  $290 Per Hour

 

Position Details

 

• Schedule: Monday–Friday, 7:30 AM – 4:30 PM
• Weekend Requirements: None
• On-Call Requirements: None
• Practice Setting: Hospital-based and outpatient imaging locations
• Average Daily Volume: Variable
• Annual Emergency Department Volume: Approximately 120 patients per day
• EMR / PACS: Epic, PowerScribe, PACS
• Radiology Team: Currently 8 radiologists; transitioning to a team of 6 after February
• Support Staff: Full complement of technologists and administrative support
• Patient Population: Adolescent, pediatric, adult, and geriatric patients

 

Responsibilities

 

• Interpret diagnostic imaging studies across hospital and outpatient settings
• Collaborate with referring physicians and clinical teams to ensure accurate and timely diagnoses
• Provide high-quality radiology services in accordance with established clinical standards
• Maintain clear and thorough documentation within the EMR and dictation systems

 

Requirements

 

• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Radiology
• Active Massachusetts medical license
• ACLS and BLS certifications
• Ability to work independently while contributing to a collaborative team environment
