Locums Emergency Medicine Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner

We are seeking an experienced Emergency Medicine Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner for a locum tenens opportunity in Brooksville, Florida. This role offers the chance to work in a fast-paced emergency department alongside a collaborative physician and nursing team, providing high-quality care to a diverse patient population.

 

Responsibilities:

 

• Evaluate, diagnose, and treat patients presenting to the emergency department
• Manage acute illnesses, injuries, and medical emergencies
• Perform procedures within scope of practice
• Order and interpret diagnostic tests
• Document patient encounters accurately in the EMR
• Collaborate with emergency physicians, consultants, and hospital staff to ensure optimal patient care

 

Requirements:

 

• Graduate of an accredited NP or PA program
• Active Florida license
• Emergency Medicine experience required
• ACLS and BLS (PALS preferred)
• DEA certification (or ability to obtain)
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced ED environment
