Bluffton Regional Medical Center is seeking a Board-Certified or Board-Eligible Gastroenterologist to join our growing, community-focused hospital. This is an outstanding opportunity for a GI physician looking for a high-quality outpatient practice, strong procedural volume, and exceptional work-life balance — all within a supportive, collegial environment.

Position Highlights

  • Outpatient-focused practice with occasional inpatient consults
    • Approximately 95% outpatient, 5% inpatient
  • No traditional call burden
    • Call limited to answering ED phone calls re: whether to treat locally or transfer
    • No in-house or overnight call requirements
  • 4-day workweek available, supporting excellent work-life balance
  • Clinic hours: Monday–Friday, 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.
  • Strong procedural volume
    • Previous 0.8 FTE GI averaged ~20 procedures per week

Clinical Practice

  • Established procedural focus including:
    • Upper and lower GI endoscopy
    • Manometry experience welcomed but not required
  • Opportunity to shape and grow the practice based on your interests

Support & Resources

  • Interest in adding APP support to optimize physician time in procedure rooms
  • Collaborative medical staff and supportive hospital leadership

Teaching & Mentorship

  • No prior resident teaching requirement
  • Opportunity to mentor residents if desired — flexible based on physician interest

Bluffton Regional Medical Center, Bluffton, Ind., is located just 30 minutes south of Fort Wayne, Ind. This 79-bed acute care facility is a member of the Lutheran Health Network. Bluffton Regional provides medical, surgical and pediatric care, inpatient and outpatient surgery, intensive care, continuing care, emergency services, business health services, rehabilitation services and a full range of digital diagnostic services.
