Hospitalist Physician opening in NE CT about 1hr from Hartford

Great opportunity for a Hospitalist to join a well-respected healthcare facility in Northeastern CT about 1hr from Hartford.

• Board Certified / Board Eligible Family Practice (FP) or Internal Medicine (IM) Physician
• Full-time, approximately 40 hours a week
• Mixture of 8 hour and 12 hour shifts
• Day shifts but would also work a few night shifts
• 8-hour shifts (7a-3p or 12p-8p) and 12 hour shifts (7a-7p) and would also work a few night shifts (7p-7a)
• Would be scheduled for between 14-17 shifts per month depending on how many 8/12 hour shifts worked
• No block scheduling
• Typically see approx. 18 ppd in a 12-hour shift and 12 ppd in an 8-hour shift 
• It will be a mix of rounding and admissions 
• Will be seeing ages 16+
• Open ICU
• No procedures are required
• Open to new graduates 
• Hospitalists will attend to codes and rapid response to the floor but not to the ED
• The facility has Cardiology, GI, Orthopedics, General Surgery, and Urology on Call.
