**Locums | Cardiothoracic Surgery PA | OR + Call | Billings, MT (IMLC accepted)**
**Why This Role**
- OR-focused cardiothoracic surgery assignment with no clinic responsibilities
- Level I trauma center offering complex cardiac, vascular, and thoracic cases
- Defined 3-month locum coverage with structured call schedule
**Assignment Details**
- Start Date: 3/16/2026
- End Date: 6/16/2026
- Commitment: Minimum 3 months
- Coverage Type: Scheduled clinical hours plus call
- Practice Setting: Inpatient
- Call Type: Beeper call for assigned patients
- Call Ratio: 1:4
- Call Response Time: 20 minutes
**Clinical Details**
- Primary Focus: OR first assist and inpatient floor coverage
- Scope: Cardiac, vascular, and thoracic surgery patients
- Patients Per Shift: Approximately 10
- Call Volume:
- Phone consults approximately 3 per call
- Patients seen approximately 1 per call
- Admissions approximately 1 per call
- Trauma Level: I
- EMR: Cerner
- Support Staff: RN support available
**Requirements**
- Physician Assistant only (NPs not accepted)
- Board certified or board eligible
- Active Montana license or IMLC required
- Cardiothoracic surgery experience required
- Ability to cover OR and inpatient floor call
- BLS not required
**Compensation**
- Rates: Facility is accepting bids
- Malpractice: Provided
- Travel: Reimbursed
