**APP – Trauma Surgery Opportunity**
**Location: Midland, Michigan**
• Full-time, night shift position with a 7-on/7-off schedule (6:00 p.m. – 6:00 a.m.)
• 100% inpatient coverage of surgical specialties throughout the hospital
• No outpatient calls
• Team-based approach working alongside another nighttime APP
Responsibilities:
• Respond to all trauma activations
• Perform admissions and consults for trauma, general surgery, and urology services
• Assist with admissions for colorectal, thoracic, and orthopedic surgery as needed
• First call for inpatient surgical specialties nursing questions
• Perform bedside procedures including chest tubes, central lines, arterial lines, and laceration repair
• Co-manage ICU/critical care patients
Certifications & Licensure:
• AHA-approved BLS and ACLS certifications
• ATLS certification required prior to completion of orientation
Education & Experience:
• Graduate of an accredited Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant program
• One year of experience with surgical specialties preferred; new graduates considered
