**Locums | Cardiovascular Surgery NP | Inpatient + Call | Lansing, MI**
**Why This Role**
- Join an established cardiac and vascular surgery service at a Level I trauma center
- Inpatient rounding–focused role with no operating room responsibilities
- Predictable 4-day workweek with structured call and weekend coverage
**Assignment Details**
- Start Date: February 2026
- End Date: Ongoing
- Schedule: 4-day, 10-hour shifts
- Coverage Type: Inpatient rounding with call
- Practice Setting: Inpatient
- Call Schedule: 1 in 4 weeks first call from home
- Weekend Coverage: 1 weekend per month
**Clinical Details**
- Average Patients Per Day: Approximately 15 (weekends 15–30)
- CVICU Census: Typically 2–3 per day, up to 8
- CVSU Census: Approximately 2–5 per day including discharges
- Vascular Patients: Approximately 4–10 across ICU and floor
- Weekend Coverage: Solo APP coverage
- Trauma Level: Level I Trauma Center
- EMR: Epic
**Requirements**
- Board certified Nurse Practitioner
- Active Michigan license preferred
- BLS and ACLS required
- Experienced APP only; no new graduates
- Clean malpractice and license history strongly preferred
- NPDB self-query required at presentation
**Compensation**
- Rates: Facility is accepting bids
- Malpractice: Provided
- Travel: Reimbursed
