Locum Interventional Cardiology Physician

We are seeking a Locums Interventional Cardiology Physician to provide both outpatient clinic coverage and call support in West Burlington, Iowa. This opportunity offers a balanced mix of weekday clinic hours with shared call responsibilities in a well-established cardiology program.

 

Schedule & Call

 

• Clinic Hours: Monday–Friday, 9:00 a.m. – 4:30 p.m.
• Call Schedule:
• Weekday call and weekday night call
• Weekend call required
• Call is shared and rotated with other providers
• Weekend Requirements: Yes
• On-Call Requirements: Yes

 

Clinical Details

 

• Average Clinic Volume: 15–18 patients per day
• Patient Population: Adult
• EMR: Cerner

 

Responsibilities

 

• Provide comprehensive interventional cardiology care in the outpatient clinic setting
• Evaluate and manage adult cardiology patients
• Perform interventional cardiology procedures as indicated
• Take call for cardiology consults and urgent/emergent cases per rotation
• Collaborate with cardiology partners, hospitalists, and cath lab teams
• Document all patient encounters accurately and timely in Cerner

 

Requirements

 

• Board Certified in Interventional Cardiology
• Active Iowa medical license
• ACLS and BLS certifications required
• Clean NPDB history
