Clinical Educator (RN) – Long Term Care, Sitka AK (Day Shift, Full-Time)

Join a close-knit care team in Sitka, Alaska as a full-time Clinical Educator for our long-term care setting. We’re looking for an experienced RN to start ASAP and work day shifts, helping shape and support nursing staff so patients receive excellent, consistent care.

What you’ll bring

• Current RN license and at least 2 years of nursing experience (LTC or skilled nursing preferred).
• Experience teaching, mentoring, or working in clinical education is a plus.
• BLS certification required; ACLS, PALS, or other relevant certifications as appropriate.
• Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Comfort working both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.

What you’ll do

• Design, implement, and evaluate education and training programs for nursing staff.
• Lead orientation and ongoing competency assessments for new hires and current staff.
• Mentor and coach clinical staff to build skills, confidence, and best practices.
• Partner with leadership to identify learning needs and drive improvements in patient outcomes.
• Ensure staff practice aligns with policies, procedures, and regulatory standards.
• Act as a clinical resource for complex patient-care questions.
• Participate in quality improvement projects and support staff performance evaluations.
