Summary:
Provide clinical resource support on a medical-surgical unit, assisting with complex patient care, mentoring staff, and supporting quality and workflow improvements.
Requirements:
- Active Registered Nurse license in practicing state
- Experience in medical-surgical nursing; clinical mentorship or education experience preferred
- BLS required; additional certifications in Med-Surg or clinical education preferred
- Strong clinical assessment, organization, and communication skills
Key Responsibilities:
- Act as clinical resource for staff on patient care, policies, and procedures
- Support clinical decision-making and assist with complex patient situations
- Educate, mentor, and coach nursing staff to build competence and confidence
- Monitor patient outcomes and engage in quality improvement activities
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to optimize patient care and unit workflow
