Travel RN — Day Surgery (Pre/Post-Op) — Glenwood Springs, CO

Join a team in Glenwood Springs, CO, as a contract/travel Registered Nurse supporting day surgery (pre-op and PACU) patients. This role starts ASAP and offers $2,928 for a 40-hour week.

What you’ll be doing

• Provide focused pre-operative and post-operative nursing care for same-day surgery patients.
• Complete thorough assessments, start and manage IVs, administer medications, and continuously monitor patients.
• Support pain management, identify and respond to complications, and guide patients safely through recovery.
• Teach patients and families about the procedure, recovery expectations, and discharge instructions.
• Work closely with surgeons, anesthesia providers, and the perioperative team to ensure seamless care.
• Accurately document all care and follow established safety and quality protocols.

What we’re looking for

• Active RN license.
• BLS required; ACLS and PALS are preferred.
• Experience in pre-op, PACU, ASU, or other perioperative settings is preferred.
• Strong assessment skills, IV competence, and clear patient education abilities.
• Comfortable and effective working in a fast-paced environment.
