Location: Boise, ID — Locum Tenens (Inpatient/Outpatient)
Start Date: July 6, 2026 — Preferred contract: 6–12 months with ongoing coverage
Schedule: Full-time (avg. 40 hrs/wk) with rotating 8-, 10-, and 12-hour shifts. Scheduled plus on-call: one weekend and two weeknight calls per month. Call may be beeper or in-house as scheduled.

Scope of Practice

  • Provide anesthesia care for adolescents through geriatrics for scheduled and emergent cases.
  • Case mix includes general surgery, orthopedics, spine, neurosurgery, plastics, GI, interventional radiology, MRI, structural heart, and Level II trauma.
  • Required procedures: general and spinal anesthesia, Level II trauma support, and anesthesia across multiple surgical specialties.

Facility & Support

  • 378-bed hospital; Level II Trauma Center.
  • EMR: Epic. Standard anesthesia equipment and scrubs provided.
  • Support: Perioperative nursing, anesthesia care team, and anesthesiology physician backup.

Credentials & Compliance

  • Idaho CRNA license required (willing to assist with licensing). NBCRNA certification and active DEA required. Idaho CSR required.
  • Hospital privileges required; name, NPI, and license status must be submitted prior to credentialing.
  • Credentialing timeline: ~30–45 days if licensed; longer if licensing is required.

Experience & Model

  • Minimum 1 year CRNA experience (6 months may be considered).
  • Comfortable practicing within a supervision-based model (up to 4:1 ratio).
  • Epic experience preferred.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver safe, timely anesthesia care for elective and emergent procedures.
  • Participate in assigned shifts and mandated call schedule.
  • Collaborate with anesthesiologists and perioperative teams.
  • Document care accurately and promptly in the EMR.
  • Adhere to hospital policies, credentialing, and compliance requirements.
