Travel RN – Emergency Room (Nights, Chariton IA)

We’re looking for an experienced Registered Nurse to join the Emergency Department team in Chariton, IA on a contract/travel basis. This is a night-focused role covering Friday through Sunday, 6:00 p.m. to 6:30 a.m., with a pay rate of $2,052 for 36 hours. Start date is ASAP.

What you’ll bring:

• Active RN license in the state where you’ll practice.
• Emergency room experience is ideal; strong acute care background is also welcome.
• Solid clinical skills, sharp critical thinking, and clear communication.
• BLS required; ACLS, PALS, or TNCC preferred.

What you’ll do day-to-day:

• Quickly triage and assess patients as they arrive and prioritize care.
• Administer medications, treatments, and emergency interventions when needed.
• Continuously monitor patients and notify physicians and the team about changes in condition.
• Keep clear, accurate documentation of care and patient records.
• Teach patients and families about their treatment and follow-up plans.
• Help drive quality improvement and safety efforts within the ER.
