Locum Tenens Interventional Radiologist — High‑Volume Outpatient Practice in Manteca, CA (Travel & Malpractice Covered)

We’re seeking a locum tenens Interventional Radiologist to provide ongoing outpatient coverage in Manteca, CA. The schedule is Monday–Friday, 8:00 a.m.–5:00 p.m., with an ASAP start date of January 26, 2026 and continuing on an ongoing basis.

What you’ll be doing

• Perform a full range of outpatient interventional radiology procedures, including dialysis access work, catheter placements and exchanges, declot procedures, fistulagrams, and peripheral arterial/vascular interventions.
• Manage patients before, during, and after procedures, ensuring safety and high-quality care.
• Collaborate with technologists, nurses, and medical assistants to maintain efficient patient flow.
• Accurately document procedures and encounters in the EMR (AdvancedMD).

Patient and clinical setting

• Adult patient population.
• High-volume outpatient practice—approximately 610 interventional procedures per day.
• Fully equipped outpatient interventional radiology suite; no inpatient beds.
• Phone consults as clinically appropriate.

Logistics, privileges, and credentialing

• Hospital privileges are not required.
• Estimated credentialing timeline: ~2,448 hours.
• Travel, lodging, and malpractice insurance are covered.

Must-haves

• Active California medical license.
• Board Certified in Interventional Radiology.
• Active DEA registration.
• Relevant certifications for outpatient IR practice.
• Prior outpatient interventional radiology experience and the ability to operate independently in a high-volume environment.
